Netaji Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences situated at Nalgonda, Telangana State near from Ramoji Film City is one of the reputed institution in Pharmaceutical education. This affiliated college was set up in 2007, and ever since, the college has been developing the next generation of pharmacy college professionals. Located on a large 6-acre bar of land, the institute provides various pharmaceutical known courses acknowledged by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Currently taking a total of 273 students and having 34 faculties the institute maintains a favorable atmosphere for both teaching and education in the sphere of pharmacy.
There are therefore a number of facilities in the institute that caters for its modern academic programs. A business school has a modern library as a centre of knowledge providing more than 3 thousand volumes and 300 unique titles belonging to the basic disciplines and general education. The library has Electronic Resources Wing with 300 plus CD-ROMs and only 30 are leased line computing facilities linked with APSONET with various National & International journals facility.
To support Vocational training the college has well-equipped laboratory facility to help the different specialization in pharmacy. The campus also provides comfortable hostel facility for boys as well as girls, where the students can feel the home away from home. A fleet of five buses cater to transportation from different areas of the twin cities making transport for day scholars easy.
In its current setting, Netaji Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences provides its stakeholders four complete courses on pharmacy education. The flagship course of the I.P has been the B.Pharma, a four-year full-time program with an intake of 100 students. At the postgraduate level, the institute provides three specialized M.Pharm programs: Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Control, and Pharmacology with an intakes of 18 students each programme take two years to complete. Most of the courses are acknowledged full time and offer students adequate details as pertains to skills needed in the pharma business.
The admission structure at Netaji Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is made such that it was structured and standardized. For admission to the B.Pharma, counselling is conducted based on the rank secured in Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). It helps ensure that only suitable candidates get the chance of realizing their pharmaceutical ambitions. In the merit of postgraduate programmes, they enrol their students based on the Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET). These are the standardized tests the institute accepts in order to keep the quality of the students’ pool high and the number of geniuses diverse.
