Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur, Tripura, is an affiliated college that started in the year 1979. This institution has a 4.62 acre area and it provides a wide spectrum of undergraduate programs. The college has a total of 4,250 students and total faculty of 31 which proves that it serves a good number of the students. The institute offers education in 28 courses and 10 degree programs covering arts and sciences domain in most parts. Currently, the student enrollment is 52% male students as opposed to 48% female and all are locally sourced.

The college has various amenities and resources that are are applicable to the college community. A remarkable point is the provision of 50 seat hostel exclusively for male students belonging to the scheduled tribe which would provide accommodation to those who travel a distant place. Library with an assets of thirty-eight thousand, seven hundred and eighty-one volumes remains a vital source of information enriches by the students and faculties. With regards to games and sports the college provides facilities for outdoor games as well as also physical fitness through use of a gymnasium. The institution also boasts of its IT facilities with ninety computers to support the students uses, thirty of these computers are connected with LAN modem in the Computer Science laboratory.

There Are Many Undergraduate Programs Offered by Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya and All the Programs are of Full Time Bases. This college offers 28 courses mostly in arts and sciences and across other fields of study. Among the following degrees they have BA in English, Bengali, Sanskrit, Political Science, Education and history and B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, botany, Human physiology and zoology. B.Com and BCA are the other college courses that it also provides. The quota that has been approved differs when it comes to these courses Many programs provision for 200 students per course While there are some special courses like BA in Geography and Psychology have been regarded okay to admit 30 students only.

The mode of entry to the Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya is done through merit, from the Higher Secondary (+2) examination. In most of the cases, the ‘merit list’ is prepared with the aggregate of the five best subjects of H.S. (+2) exam and the other mark[s] obtained in the subject of Major. From this perspective, the students are placed with the right programs based with standards and priority in their area of interest. The college permits students to select as many as three subjects for their major, with the actual distribution serving strictly on the basis of merit.
