Nethra Vidyalaya Degree College for Blind in Hyderabad that was established in the year 2010 is a distinct college for the blind students of Telangana. This is an affiliated college, which has the main objective of offering higher education to the visually impaired students. The college is located in Sri Ram Nagar, Shamshabad on a campus that occupies about 5 acres of land and the institution is home to 92 enrolled student population. This college offers two regular three-year undergraduate programmes for the blind and the deaf students. B.Com with Computer Applications offers students a diverse knowledge base in commerce and Computer Application so they can participate effectively in the commerce industry. The BA in History, Political Science and Economics equips students with social sciences knowledge to enable them understand and analyze on social issues. The programme’s of the two universities are such that the visually impaired can go for college without having to face any hardships. The total student intake capacity of the college is 92 which show that college wants to keep a selective and conducive environment of learning.
