New Millennium College of Education, Cuddalore: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

New Millennium college of education was started in 2004 and is an affiliated college situated in Cuddalore of Tamil Nadu. This is a co-educational institution recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for effective training of teachers in the country. Located on a 5.66 acre land, the college provides two niche programmes with cumulative enrolment capacity of 195 students. New Millennium College of Education has 16 serious and qualified faculty members that provide a small student to teacher ratio hence enabling a good learning environment for the students. Secondly, the college mostly offers education courses and prepares students, who are certain to become efficient and successful teachers.

New Millennium college of education has a number of amenities that are meant to support the learning activities of the learners. A local library boasts thousands of volumes of books, and it boasts to be an institution significant in academics.. Large spacious and technologically equipped labs make the practical sessions to be performed in the campus a real event. New Millennium College of Education offers two full paid courses in the field of education wing. The total number of approved intake for these courses for 2012 academic year is 150 an ample intake for anyone interested in becoming a teacher. Presently the college provides the Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) programmes which are full time and of two years duration. Such programmes are intended to prepare students for that line of teaching profession in order to be more equipped to tackle the tasks involved.

At New Millennium College of Education, the admission criteria involves the marks scored in the entrance examination and /or qualifying examination of the student. The admission schedules of the college is strictly in compliance with the norms prescribed by the state government of Tamil Nadu and university to which it is affiliated. The admission to D.El.Ed programme is done on the merit of the qualifying examination or any other mode as per the rules and regulation of state government. Likewise for the B. Ed programme the admissions of the teachers are conducted on the basis of the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test as per norms of state government and the university.
