NPSBCET was established in the year 2008 as a private autonomous college named New Prince Shri Bhavani College of Engineering and Technology, Chennai ,Tamil Nadu. This college is associated with Anna University and provides a vast number of study programmes for students on the undergraduate and postgraduate level in engineering and technology. NPSBCET is NAAC accredited and AICTE approved technical institute. The institute occupies total area 10.01 acre has the total certificate student strength 722 and total faculty strength 93. NPSBCET has 11 courses under 4 degrees comprising with majors like, computer science and engineering, information technology, artificial intelligence and data science.
These can either be affiliated to the different departments in the college or be independent; there are many features developed in order to cater for the needs of the students in regard to their academic and individual advancement. Being a boys and girls CET college, New Prince Shri Bhavani College of Engineering and Technology has ample of hostels for boys and girls, each facility can house 200 students with separate canteen and a strict time table for studying. There is a health center for medical incidents, a state of art fitness centre for body build, and fully aerated library with both printed and online content. In terms of IT, the university is well developed and has specialised labs for various technologies and all the students get practice on state of the art IT tools. Other facilities available are; a cafeteria, transport in that the University owns six buses that ply sometime in the city and wi-fi that is accessible in the entire compound. NPSBCET provides sports activities, badminton, and volley ball court and a multifaceted auditorium for carrying out workshops or any other event.
There are in all, 11 courses being offered by the NPSBCET, which are under Graduate and Post Graduate level. The institute offers all the engineering programmes like Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at full time. In the postgraduate level the NPSBCET offers such courses as MCA and MBA. The approved semester capacity for all the courses allowed is 722 students. We do not have the actual graduation data for this year but the college’s mission and vision revolve with an aim of delivering quality education to ensure the graduates obtain well secure promising jobs in their respective fields of study.

In case of the undergraduate engineering courses the students need to undergo counselling for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). The MBA programme also held in the university accepts TANCET scores for admission purposes.
