Established in 1971, Night College of Arts and Commerce, Kolhapur is one among the premier institutions of Maharashtra, India associated with higher education. The affiliated college is located in the heart of Kolhapur at Bindu Chowk, Ravivaar Peth and has survived over five decades since its inception. In addition to this, it has also been accredited by NAAC; thus, the managing committee is more serious about providing quality education to their diversified students' body. Spread over a compact 3-acre campus, the college currently enrols 639 students with a remarkable gender distribution of 481 males and 210 female students. The college is offering 4 courses across 3 degree programmes that are mainly oriented towards the arts and commerce disciplines, with 7 dedicated faculty members. The academic courses are a focused selection at Night College of Arts and Commerce; full-time courses are offered. The undergraduate course of the college consists of three-year B.A. and B.Com. It is affiliated to the undergraduate programmes, extending up to two years of postgraduate courses: M.A. Marathi and M.A. English. The student-to-programme ratio is such that there is a fine balance of undergraduate and postgraduate students to accommodate as many diverse academic interests as possible in the Arts and Commerce fields.
