Niranjan Government Women’s College, Aska was founded in 1980 at Khambeswari Patna, Aska, Ganjam district of Odisha. This affiliated college located in a 2.3 acre area aims to bring quality education to women only. LGS college currently enrolls  719 students and 4 faculty members, and currently offers 12 courses in 2 degree programs with their main focus being on the different specialties of the Bachelor of Arts (BA). Some existing humanities programmes evidence of women's education in the institution include Political Science, History, Education, Odia, Economics, Home Science among others.

The college has built various infrastructures for the improvement of learning process among the college learners. A nice library has all the textbooks and journals that the students need for their studies crucial to the accomplishment of their goals. The institution also has well equipped modern laboratories to enhance practicals in various departments. For physical fitness and recreation purpose college has gym and sports facility. By so doing, the IT infrastructure arms students with technological support that is crucial to education in today’s world. Requirements An auditorium being on campus also helps facilitate event and seminars in enhancing the academic climate. College canteen provides accommodation for students and members of staff to take a break and interact with each other. For instance, the institution has hostel facility for female and male students hence making a safe place for students from different parts of the country to reside.

Niranjan Government Women’s College have in total 12 full time courses all falling under the Bachelor of Arts (BA) course. These courses include Humanities and cover almost all specialization areas of study for students. In all the courses of the college take a total of 719 students which shows how important the college is to the education of female in this region. It may not be possible at the time of writing this review to obtain raw gradient data for the most recent academic year but given the fact that the college has constant enrolment, it infers that there is production of alumni who are placed in a variety of sectors.

Admission to the Niranjan Government Women’s College, Aska, like said before is very open to everyone and the basis is on merit since the college aims at educating woman. But it seems that the college conforms to the general procedure applicable to all government colleges in Odisha. The college provides different fields of specialization in BA programs, which is useful for students with different areas of humanities interest.
