Noorul Islam College of Dental Science, started in 2006 in Aralumoodu, is a distinguished dental college in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. This affiliated college accredited by the Dental Council of India (DCI), has its own dental programmes on its campus of 33.66 acres land. The college has achieved accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which makes the college conscious of the quality to provide. This institute has total of 262 students and 85 faculty members, which assures a good student teacher ratio. The college has 3 courses under 2 degrees, focuses on dental sciences and available at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

BDS programme is the flagship undergraduate degree programme whereas the postgraduate programmes include MDS in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics and MDS in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics. The overall intake considered and approved for all these courses is 104. 

Noorul Islam College of Dental Science has a standard procedure for admission procedure and the admission is done on the basis of merit. For the BDS programme, admission to the college/university takes place through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). For the MDS programmes, the NEET MDS qualifications are required for the candidates wishing to be admitted to the programme. These entrance examinations for admission to college level make sure that the institution takes in students who had a reasonably good grounding in the relevant subjects.
