Nootan Pharmacy College, Visnagar, was established in the year 2006 and forms part of the Sankalchand Patel University located at Mehsana, Gujarat. It is a co-educational and 2.5 acres sprawling campus with a buildup only for pharmaceutical education and research. This college is approved by PCI and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in pharmacy. With a total student enrolment of 170 and faculty strength of 21, the Nootan Pharmacy College offers an ambiance fit for conducive learning. 

This college has a multifarious range of facilities aimed at enriching the student experience and supporting academic pursuits to the best caliber. There is also a well-stocked library with over 25,000 books on subjects relevant to the course of study in pharmacy and related subjects. The college gives more priority to the comfort of students, so it provides individual hostel facilities for boys and girls with 648 and 240 beds, respectively, to spend their days in a safe and soothing environment within the campus.

Nootan Pharmacy College offers a total of 5 courses, all full-time programs. This institution offers one undergraduate course, B. Pharma with an intake of 100 students, and four postgraduate courses in the various specializations of M. Pharma with different intake capacities. Across all courses, a total of 170 students can be admitted at a time; this clearly shows that the college is firmly adhering to the student-to-faculty ratio. 

The process of admission is different for different programs at Nootan Pharmacy College. The B.Pharma course accepts candidates based on the GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) exam. It is a kind of standardized test to determine the aptitude of a candidate for pharmacy studies. This forms an important part of the selection process. Often it is the case that such programs may consider the undergraduate performance of the candidates and may include an interview or an entrance test as well.
