Nova College of Physical Education, Jangareddigudem, came into existence in 2012, and it emphasises on Physical Education exclusively. This college is situated in West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh and the college provides intensive course in the sports and physical fitness. The institute is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 which makes it follow guidelines of the council for the teacher education in the country. Nova College is located in an 8 acre campus, where would be physical education professionals are offered a suitable learning environment. The college currently has 47 learners enrolled, but it employs 16 faculty members, which provides appropriate learners to teacher ratio that is compromise with quality teaching and learning process. 

This college has a variety of facilities that have been provided and are of great benefit to the learners. The campus has a separately located hostel for boys and girls with a total capacity of 450 and 250 students respectively. College library is large fully equipped and containing a wide range of books, journals and other printed and electronic resources. They include services which make available physical and electronic books and other literatures to the diverse learners and academicians. to meet the physical training and recreational needs, the college Nova College offers a fitness center and sport and other related amenities. The campus also has a canteen to provide tasty and healthy food to the students in clean environment, for the male and female students separately. 

Nova College of Physical Education currently offers one primary course: the Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed). This course takes two years and is meant to provide students with necessary attributes needed to work as physical education teacher and sports coaches. Originally, the college has permission for the intake of 100 students for this course to signify the college’s ability to produce multiple qualified physical education personnel in the near future. Albeit, the graduating particulars for the latest academic year is missing; however, the colleges specialized orientation toward physical education training gives an indication of its concern for creating better employable and qualified graduates in the specialty area of physical education. 

Nova College of Physical Education has few standards regarding admission as it follows the rules and regulations of the state government and the university to which it is affiliated. Entrance examination is carried out with prospective students sitting for written test, fitness test, interview.
