Om Prakash Chaubey Mahavidyalaya, Auraiya, which was started in the year 1970 is a co – education college situated in Paigupur Anantram Auraiya Uttar Pradesh. Established on a camp size Ten hundred and twenty-nine acres the college provides 22 courses in 12 programs. The institute has the capacity of admitting 624 students while has 13 number of faculty members hence it have good learning environment. The college is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in order to provide quality education in its teacher training courses. The Om Prakash Chaubey Mahavidyalaya has placed itself in offering courses in arts, science, commerce, and professional courses at the under graduate as well as post graduate level.

Smt. Om Prakash Chaubey Mahavidyalaya has numerous courses to promote variety of fields to explore in academic paradigm. The institute offers twenty two programmes, these has both undergraduate and post graduate programmes. Some of the Under Graduation courses are BA, B.Com, B.Sc in different disciplines and Some Para Technical courses are BCA and BBA. In addition to that, this college has postgraduate courses where learners can study subjects such as: Master of Science in Mathematics, Physics, Zoology and Botany, Master of Arts in English, Economics and Sociology. The institute also offers some professional post graduate courses like MBA and MCA etc. Further, the college also runs teachers training, Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Elementary Education, out of which D. El. Ed. Course is permitted intake of 100 students.

Most of these programs have their testing criteria pegged on the scores attained by the applicant in the qualifying examination. But in case of some programs like B.ED and D.EL.ED the college also takes entrance test or other criteria based on the norms of the state govt., UT administration and university where the college is affiliated to. There is admission process for the D.El.Ed program also and candidates are chosen in accordance with merit criteria using the marks of the qualifying examination with or without an entrance examination as defined by the state government.
