OPR Memorial College of Education is situated at Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu and was established in 2005 the institution focuses on building the future of Education. This co-educational college is established in a 6 acres area of Vadalur, Tamil Nadu. Being an affiliated college, it has secured recognition from the National council for Teacher Education(NCTE) in regards to protocol in teacher education. The institute provides two postgraduate courses in education and they have total 184 students with 11 hardworking educators. As a college that aims at producing qualified teachers, OPR Memorial College of Education acts as a reference institution for teachers training in the region.

OPR Memorial College has provided several installations intended to improve the learning process of students. The core of a number of academic staples is a serious library containing almost all possible books for research and study. Sport and games are--option for learners and the college offers sporting facilities to support growth and development of talents in sporting activities. The following figured out the institution has majored in modern education; the institution has an excellent Information Technology that enhances the current technological savvy among students in today’s world of education. There is an auditorium which means that there is frequently conferences and seminars for students resulting in an active learning community. This college also provides well equipped laboratories for the practical lesson. They both are given value with a health centre that hosts a first aid section. Accommodation is also found within the college compounds for out-station students and guests with facilities for male and female students, self contained guests houses for male and female visiting faculty and families respectively, guests houses for faculty and visitors. In order to meet the needs of the many different people in the society, the institution has also put in place provision of parking and transport for ease of the community.

OPR Memorial College of Education currently offers two full-time courses: the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme and Master of Education (M.Ed) programme. 

OPR Memorial College of Education too follows the merit system for offering admissions to the respective courses. The admission to the B.Ed programme is done in accordance to marks scored by the student in the qualifying examination and/ or entrance examination as per norms set by state government, UT administration and affiliated university. In the same manner, the M.Ed programmes have merit based admission criteria; the percentile score of the qualifying examination Entrance examination any other selection procedure as prescribed by the concerned authority.
