It is an Institute of Pharmaceutical Education, established in the year 2004 in Bhopal (The city of lakes) Capital of the state Madhya Pradesh, India. This is a co-educational affiliated college recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) offering several pharmacy courses. OCP Bhopal is situated on a 1.5 acre campus total enrolment is 530 students out of which 84 % are Undergraduate students and 16% are post graduate students. The college also enrols a racially/ethnically diverse student population: 40% of the students come from other states. The OCP Bhopal has 38 faculty members teaching 6 course offerings across 3 levels of degree programmes focused in pharmaceutical sciences.

OCP Bhopal has efficient laboratory facilities such as 14 for B.Pharma course and 6 for M.Pharma course which carries all necessary hardware meeting industrial specifications. Currently it operates an institutional library that contains approximately 7500 books and has access to thirty six international and national journals. It also incorporates CD-ROM databases with features; Additional facilities at the campus feature a health centre which comprises of first aid for students’ needs besides having sporting equipments and gym for exercising. OCP Bhopal has both computer and communication facilities and an auditorium to facilitate academic activities. The college also avails transport facilities to the colleges and the staff and a canteen for the students and the staff.
The courses provided by Oriental College of Pharmacy are administered at a total of 6 courses where the students can study at a level of an undergraduate and a postgraduate. Currently, the college offers 3 full-time undergraduate programmes and 3 full-time post graduate programmes. However, the maximum number of student intake approved for all courses is 193. The main and flagship course in the college is B.Pharma for which there are 100 seats. The college also provides certain M.Pharma Specialisation courses in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance and Pharmacology in limited numbers to provide personal attention and quality result.

Oriental College of Pharmacy has a different procedure of admission for different courses. For the undergraduate courses such as B.Pharma and D.Pharma there are Common Counselling conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Madhya Pradesh. Currently, graduate admissions in M.Pharma programmes require passing of the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) which is held at national level. GPAT scores are considered in the college for different courses of M.Pharma such as Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality control, and Pharmacology.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: The mode of admission to B.Pharma for OCP Bhopal is through the Common Counselling in DTE, Madhya Pradesh. 100 seats are reserved in this four-year undergraduate program. The candidates will have to go for the process of counselling based on the entrance test that they needed to take.
D.Pharma: Similar to B.Pharma students, all D.Pharma admissions come under the Common Counselling of DTE, Madhya Pradesh. OCP Bhopal has 60 seats in this diploma program. Those eligible would need to apply through the central admission process.
M.Pharma: OCP Bhopal offers M.Pharma in various specializations: Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance, Pharmacology. The admissions for these postgraduate programs are done based on GPAT scores. The total intake for all M.Pharma specializations is 33. Candidates having a valid GPAT score can apply for these programs which are of 2 years duration.

The infrastructure of Oriental college is very good. Our college has free wifi in lab and hostles. It consists three building including lab classes seminar etc .beauty of our college are amazing .its also has good canteen area having good quality food.
