Oxford College of Education and Technology is an affiliated college. which is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The institute offers education-focused programs, and the admission process is merit-based. It is one of the institutions fully dedicated to quality education in teacher training and development. Admissions to both B.Ed and D.El.Ed courses are usually done every year in the following university calendar. Whereas the dates may differ from year to year, the aspiring students are advised to prepare their applications way before the admission date, probably during the calendar beginning for the next session. The eligibility criteria for admission in such courses follow the norms of NCTE and state government rules and regulations. Usually, it asks for a graduation degree or an equivalent qualification attained from any well-known university during B.Ed courses. D.El.Ed requires, in most cases, a higher secondary certificate or 10+2 certificate issued from a known board.

Application Process

Oxford College of Education and Technology, Meerut has an application process that involves several steps to ensure that the selection is a fair and all-inclusive process as given below:

1. Notification: The college posts its admission procedure on various media and its website.

2. Application Form: The application forms are to be downloaded or even collected from the college campus if available. Normally, these could be available through the college websites.

3. Document Submission: Along with these application forms duly filled in the candidates must enclose all pertinent documents that, as a minimum, will have to include:

  • The mark sheets for the qualifying tests (Bachelor's degree for B.Ed, 10+2 for D.El.Ed)
  • Valid ID proof
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Category certificate, if any.
  • Such other documents as the college or regulatory authorities may require.

4. Entrance Examination: According to the state government policy, there could be entrance examinations for admission into the institute. The details regarding the nature of the test, syllabus and dates of conducting the exam, are largely intimated by the college.

5. Merit List Preparation: The college prepares a merit list of eligible candidates based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance exam scores.

6. Counselling and Seat Allocation: Shortlisted candidates are called for a counselling session where they can choose their preferred course (B.Ed or D.El.Ed) based on their merit rank and seat availability.

7. Fee Payment: The selected candidates are supposed to make fee payment following the prescribed fees in the college within the stipulated time to confirm their admission.

8. Document Verification: The college scrutinizes all submitted documents in detail before finalizing the admission.  

Degree Wise Admission Process:

B.Ed Course Description Oxford College of Education and Technology, Meerut: The intake for B.Ed course in this college is approved at 100 students. The admission to the B.Ed program held in the college is merit-based. Merit or marks scored in the qualifying examination are taken as a basis for admission. Based on the state government policies and the affiliated university, some colleges may include entrance exam scores or selection processes also. The program is aimed at preparing students for a teaching career in secondary and higher secondary levels.

D.El.Ed: The sanctioned intake for the D.El.Ed is 100 students. Admission procedure for D.El.Ed is the same as B.Ed. It is also merit-based admission. The college will consider the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, which is usually 10+2, and may use entrance examination scores or other selection criteria as per the state government. This program trains teachers for primary and upper primary levels of schooling.
