Paavai College of Education, a renowned teacher education institution, was started in the year 2004 and is located in the Namakkal District of Tamil Nadu, India. Located in Paavai Nagar, on the NH-44, this co-educational college is an affiliated college approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Paavai College of Education has a total student enrolment of 112 students and a faculty of 11 members is present to train the students in the field of education. The college currently offers only one undergraduate programme, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), which is a two-year course.

The college offers B.Ed. where the intake capacity is 100 students, which illustrates the fact that Paavai College of Education concentrates on providing quality education in the teaching field. This course is a two-year full-time course, which this writer intends to pursue in order to become equipped adequately to practice in the field of education. Well-equipped departmental laboratories to support practical learning include: This is done to ensure that the students get a practical feeling of what they preferred to study in the college. Moreover, it also offers state-of-the-art audio-visual and IT facilities to equip students with requirements on inventions in educational technology.

Admission to Paavai College of Education is open on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test as per the rules and regulations of the state government and affiliated universities. It also serves to ensure that better-placed candidates of equal standard get a chance to achieve their dream of becoming educators. University hostel accommodation is also available for female students, both freshmen and returning students. The hostel is meant to accommodate students coming from distant regions of the country.
