Paavai Polytechnic College was established in the year 1998 situated in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu as an affiliated college. Located on a 5.09 acre, the institution provides a wide spectrum of diploma programmes in the engineering and technology disciplines. Recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), affiliated with the  College of Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, land approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the college enrolls 760 students and has 89 teachers. It offers 11 diploma courses across disciplines to meet growing demand of the technical education domain. 

Paavai Polytechnic College provides various kinds of facilities to improve the academic facilities of students. In each of the hostels, one for boys and another for girls, have amenities such as purified water, spacious dining hall and internet connection. Besides, a modern multi-gymnasium belongs to the students to keep fit. The college library boasts of a collectionul of over 5000 textbooks, reference books and journals within and outside the college curriculum. In a medical crisis, treatment facilities are offered by the Paavai Health Care Centre for students where a doctor visits daily. It also has well equipped playing fields for cricket, football and basketball besides courts for indoor and outdoor games.

According to the institution, there are 11 diploma courses, and they are all full-time programmes. These courses are offered across Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering and most other fields of engineering. The college has also offered today’s relevant programmes like Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
