Paavai Polytechnic College, Pachal in the year of 1998, which is a pioneering technological organisation in Tamil Nadu. This college for both male and female students and recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education offering a number of diploma courses in different fields of engineering. Spread over a campus size of 5.09 acres, the college has a total enrolment capacity of 760 students and employs one hundred and eighty-nine faculty members. Paavai Polytechnic College has a passion for technical education providing eleven diploma courses in Mechanical Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering and the most recent being Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Paavai Polytechnic College offers all-round amenities for the learning needs of the students to enhance their practical experience. An adequately stocked library comprises of over 5000 volumes of text books, references and journals and 350 numbers of DVDs. The campus consists of technically developed laboratories related to the department to help students to get the practical knowledge. To support physical fitness for recreation, the college also provides excellent golfing grounds for cricket and foot ball, basket ball and a multi-gymnasium. Fully air conditioned, Anandha Arangam having a sitting capacity to 2000 students is used to host many of college programmes and functions.

In total, Paavai Polytechnic College has provided 11 diploma courses among them all the courses are full time. Existing engineering disciplines like Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, and Civil engineering are part of the traditional offer while Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Medical Laboratory Technology can be categorized as more modern fields of study. The total approved intake for all the courses is 600 students in a year, which is conclusive to the fact of the institutions ability to produce a large number of technician and engineers.
