Paavai Teacher Training Institute was started in 2004, is located at Pachal, Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college trains future teachers through its teacher training programmes in order to achieve this vision. Located in Paavai Nagar, on the National Highway, NH-44 (erstwhile NH-7), the institute forms part of the Paavai Group of Institutions.

Paavai Teacher Training Institute has several accommodation structures to make sure that the learning environment of the students is improved. A fully equipped library boasts of over 2200 books and fifteen journal and magazines, providing an all-round information on different fields. Such physical infrastructure infrastructure facilities include basketball, cricket, football, hockey, kabaddi, kho-kho grounds and volleyball & badminton courts. A multi-gymnasium as well as facilities for table tennis for students’ games are also featured as extra curricular activities that trainer the muscle of the students. In an aim to complete development, the institute offers yogic values by employing competent trainers in practice. For academic purpose, college has departmental laboratory and well equipped modern Iinformation technology facilities. Anandha Arangam, an air-conditioned auditorium, with Seating capacity of 2000 people, is available for the programmes and various activities.

The Paavai Teacher Training Institute was offering a two years full time Diploma in Teacher Education. The rationale for this course is to prepare students to be teachers in equal function. It includes the course in different approaches to teaching and learning, child development, and psychology to equip students for education profession.

The admission procedure of Paavai Teacher Training Institute was made as per the norms laid down by the State Government of Tamil Nadu. The admissions are made on merit basis which depends on the marks that they scores in the exam for admission. At times, an entrance examination or any other selection procedure may be included in the admission process, if so desired by the State Government or UT Administration.

The institute has separate hostels for boys and girls, therefore catering for the accommodation needs of students who come from different part of the country. On the campus of the college, there is a medical facility which provides services to students and workers; specialists come in the evening. Accommodation is also provided for student to make sure that they do not struggle to get transport within and from the college.
