Pachamuthu College of Education, located in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, was established in the year of 2006 and is one of the noted teacher training college in the state. This co-educational college that is part of the state university system catalyses the future of professional education. Located in a 5 acre area, the college’s aim in offering quality teacher education has received approval from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) while offering some of the adequate facilities that are required in our syllabus. At present, Pachamuthu College of Education has 188 students enrolled studying and 16 members in the faculty.

Pachamuthu College of Education has established a variety of amenities that aims at improving the learning environment and personal growth of the students. From this point of view, library that is equipped with all necessary for research and that can give people opportunity to develop academically is a great benefit. The laboratories in the college provide practical lessons which are very helpful especially in actual teacher training. To keep fit and for recreation, the students have access to facilities which include sports. The campus also has an efficient and spacious auditorium that can be used for extra-curricular educational, seminar and cultural activities. Information technologies help students to remain connected and have access to the available resources and information. A college cafeteria is designed to accommodate the students and staff, and also can serve as the place for leisure. In addition, the institution has a Health Centre that offers first aid services for the community it serves. This college also maintains a healthy alumni programme which provides important linkages to the current and future learners.

Pachamuthu College of Education offers one full-time course,the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This is a two-year programme aimed at providing the necessary background for students who are to become efficient teachers, with the approved number of students being 100. Pachamuthu College of Education is offering course of B.ED in which all round aspects of the teaching-field, teaching psychologies and methods of teaching are encompassed. 

The enrolment policy of Pachamuthu College of Education is competitive since it follows the state government’s and the university affiliation’s policies. Admissions are given depending on the performance of a student in the qualifying exams and or entrance tests. The college may routinely administer further tests that students must sit for in accordance with the laws of the state.
