Pacific College of Teachers Education, Udaipur (PCTE) a professional college involved in the production of trained teachers since 2005. This is a co-education institute situated in the city of Udaipur, Rajasthan and the total area of this institute is 3.904 acres. PCTE is affiliated as a constituent college and it is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (India). The college has 5 programmes in the field of education to prepare teachers for different levels of training. PCTE has a strength of 32 faculty members that focus on preparing teachers for teaching profession with quality education. The institute offers various courses such as D.El.Ed, B.Ed, M.A Education, M.Phil Education, and Ph.D Education emphasising it’s overall development approach towards teacher professional learning.

PCTE has installed variety of facilities which in one way or the other assist students in their learning process. The college library is but another important learning institution with its collections of literature and education aids for the students. The need for modern day education has been well met by PCTE which provides quality IT equipments therefore, exposing students to current technological needs in the faculty. The institute also has departmental laboratories, which provide practical, realistic hands on experiences. In its bid to embrace a balanced development of its students, PCTE has sports facilities that engage in physical activities to assure a balance between the spirit, body, and the soul. Inter collegiate competitions include different games and events which are conducted by the college administration and teachers for students as well as teachers are associated with different games and events actively. The institute provides total of 5 course and all these courses are full time only. These are two undergraduate programmes, D.El.Ed and B.Ed, One post graduate programme M.A Education, and two research level programmes M.Phil Education and Ph.D Education. There are hundred sanctioned seats in the D.El.Ed and B.Ed courses to fulfill which the institute has come a long way as the focal point for training teachers at the elementary level. These courses show the concern towards higher education in PCTE. The college offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses intensified in education along with immense opportunities for research in the field of education that chalks out a clear career path for any student who wants to make a career in the filed of education.

Enrolment at Pacific College of Teachers Education differs in terms of programmes. Admission for the B.Ed programme are on the merit list obtained from the Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET). This way, the candidates with the highest aptitudes for teaching are hired into the school. The admission to the D.El.Ed programme is strictly based on merit, that is marks scored in the qualifying examination or an entrance examination as per the norms prescribed by state government, UT administration and the University respectively. In postgraduate and research programmes, it is done through the typical academic performance and possibly an interview process by the college. PCTE accepts different entrance tests, as prevalent at the state and national levels for admission to teacher education.
