Pallavan College of Education currently has offer the two main course in the field of education. The course in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two year full time course The college has the capacity of taking 100 students for the course. Apart from that the college also offers a professional course namely Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) for which there are 50 seats. These programs are meant to prepare students to teach in school systems, at different levels of the school system. The university offers 87 enrolment for all courses offered and has 16 faculty members to ensure that each student be given adequate instructor time for personal attention as well as quality education.

Pallavan College of Education is committed to the intake of students based on merit and as a result of this the college admit students based on merits. For the B.Ed program, there is strict regulation of marks which students get in their qualifying examination.
