Pandit Rajpati Mishra College of Education and Research was set up in the year 2008 and it confers affiliation to Thane, Maharashtra. This co-educational institution, recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), is committed to provide teacher education programmes. Covering a 1 acre campus area, it is a college that, at present, is accommodating 99 students and 11 members of the faculty. The institute offers two full-time programmes, Bachelors of Education (B. Ed.) And Diploma in Elementary Education, for people who want to become teachers. As a teacher training college, the institution bears the responsibility of determining the environment of education in the region. 

Pandit Rajpati Mishra College of Education and Research has a variety of resources aimed at the improvement of the learner environment within the institution. These amenities have a central 500 sq. ft., full practical library with 5000 books with bar code facility, six journals and multimedia resources like video cassettes & CDs. The institution takes pride in its Science and Psychology laboratories which improve practical learning of the students. A 600 sq. ft. Psycho-gym is furnished with sophisticated tools for different psychological tests. The college also has a computer laboratory with internet connection to meet the technological advancement in their education. Every classroom is large enough, almost 500sqft and can comfortably contain 50 learners, and every classroom is fitted with a public address system, LCD and OHP for use in the teaching process. The college provides the students with sporting amenities, parking area and extra-curricular facilities to maintain an all round development of the college student. 

Pandit Rajpati Mishra College of Education and Research provides two professional programmes in teacher education. The B.Ed programme is offered with an intake capacity of 100 and the other course is D.El.Ed programme. Established to take two-years, both programmes offer a sound preparation for future educators. The college has a total student enrolment of 99, which show that the college gives stress on quality education with proper student faculty ratio. 

It is a managment college which follows the merit list based on the marks secured by the students in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. With regard to the B.Ed programme, admission is strictly taken based on schedule/panel framed by the state government, UT administration and the affiliated University. In the same manner, the D.El.Ed programme also has admission rules and regulation prescribed by the state government/ UT administration. In this way, the processes of selection of the best teachers are consistent and objective at the same time.
