Parjang Mahavidyalaya started in 1979, connected college situated in Parjang, Odisha. Situated in the campus of Dhenkanal this institution has been imparting education for the past four decades. This institution provides number of undergraduate with different fields in arts and sciences for 612 enrollees of the college. Parjang Mahavidyalaya offers a total 11 course in 2 different degrees that focuses on specific areas like Anthropology, Economica, Physics, Botany etc. It should be also mentioned that the college provides full-time study programmes, which also pay attention to both trendy and conventional subjects.

Parjang Mahavidyalaya is full with all types of facilities for the students inside the campus. The college has a good library with books and other reading materials as well as computers to support student’s learning. To accomplish this, practical sessions are provided through departmental laboratories for practical experience in various scientific disciplines. This also includes the welfare of its female student that is why the institution also has a provision for a girls’ hostel. In the academic year 2013-14 the college offered accommodation to 67 students as part of its academic portfolio it offers six bachelor of Arts courses and five bachelor of Science courses comprising of humanities and sciences. The institution takes and trains 612 students, thereby minimizing student to student contact thus creating a conducive learning environment. Exact statistics about the number of graduates is lacking, however the college for education is evident in the courses that they make available for their students as well as facilities they provide for their use.
