Parshwanath Doddanavar Bharatesh College of Nursing Belgaum whichcame into existence in the year 2003 is one of the leading nursing collage in the Karnataka State of India. Opposite to Vidhan Soudha in Halaga, Belgaum it is a co-educational college which is spread over a seven acre campus. The college holds recognition from the INC and provides various programs of nursing education. The institute has a faculty of 32 members providing the institute with a healthy student faculty ratio that gives the student more focus leading to quality output. To be specific, the college offers five distinct programmes of different levels of degrees to respond to mainly another specialisation of the nursing area.
The college has a number of amenities that are used both to improve the learning environment and learning achievements of the students. Departmental libraries have reputed Indian and foreign journals and a well-stocked library contains 3900 books in disciplines of Management-Science, Computers and Technology, Applied Sciences, Business and Human Studies. This institution provide a separate accommodation for male and female students practicing a maximum of one hundred each, with possibilities of distinct and two per room. These include common rooms, games, laundry where and mess where that are available in these hostels. Auditorium: It is a huge fulfilling hall which has the capacity to holding 250 persons and is used to host conferences, workshops, and seminars among others It is equipped with LCD/OHP projectors. For the purpose of training, the nursing foundation laboratory has acquired beds and manikins that the students use in practicing on different nursing processes such as the CPR.
There are a total of five full time courses in Parshwanath Doddanavar Bharatesh College of Nursing with both graduation and post graduation courses. The institute list of students’ enrolment indicated that the institute has an enrolment of total students of 245 students in all the courses offered at the institute. The major programme of study is the B.Sc in Nursing which has an approval to admit sixty students. Other courses include GNM—General Nursing and Midwifery—and M.Sc in Pediatric Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing, and Mental Health Nursing, each taking five students.
