Parvatibai Gokhale Vigyan Mahavidyalaya, Gwalior, has been set up in 1959, is a recognized affiliated college situated in Jiwajiganj, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The institute is located on the 2.45 acre of land and it teach various science programs. Though it has small student enrolment  of 296 and 17 faculties, the college is quite suitable for proper focused concentration. This institute has 13 courses in 5 different degree programmes, mainly Science: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Computer Science, Electronics. It Himba co-educational institution, allowing students from all gender, in order to promote an equal learning environment.

There is a variety of amenities to cater for the colleges programs in that institution. The library which is functions for 12 hours in working days has the capacity to accommodate about 7500 books and reports belonging to Physics chemistry, Zoology and Microbiology, computer science etc. It also contains a still growing journal section. The college also boasts an IT lab with a Local Area Network of twenty five stations, all loaded with different software and operating systems. Current and future needs of laboratories to be equipped with the modern equipments are fulfilled at the central college. To enhance the learning process of the institute, there are sports facilities and extra co curricular activities involvement is allowed. The campus also provides parking areas for the faculty, staff and students.

There are total of 13 courses offered by Parvatibai Gokhale Vigyan Mahavidyalaya, including the undergraduate and post graduate degree. The undergraduate programmes include six B.Sc programmes and one BCA programme with all of the courses being regular programmes. The college offers four M.Sc programmes at postgraduate level: the two years PGDCA and one year DCA courses. On the total approved intake for all courses is 880 students, 100 each for both B.Sc program, 80 for BCA, 25 for each M.Sc program and 50 for both PGDCA & DCA.

Admission process whether at any level in Parvatibai Gokhale Vigyan Mahavidyalaya also follow a very simple and easy procedure. It is much likely that such institutes admit student based on an academic performance in relevant courses offered at the 10+2 level for undergraduation. In postgraduate courses, usually marks obtained in the bachelor’s degree in the respective or related subject are considered.
