The Pathankot College of Education is a leading institution of learning established in the year 2006 placed in Pathankot- Punjab. This is a co-educational institute with a mission of producing future educators and has acquired affiliation from NAAC. The college functions as an affiliated college affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offers two professional education courses. The college encompasses 185 students and 13 faculties making the functional setting favourable to learning new concepts. The campus, situated along the Jalandhar-Dalhousie Bypass, opposite Canada Palace, offers two full-time degree programmes: Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science- 30 Seats, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), D.El.Ed – 50 seats each.

The library, open from 9:working from 8:00 in the morning up to 4:00 in the afternoon, is equipped with various collection of books, journals and reference materials for up to 50 readers. To the students seeking degree in education, the institute opens well-equipped laboratory having more than fifty tests and instruments in psychology laboratory, demonstration and model science laboratory, mathematics laboratory for practice. This facility is useful in the teaching of modern languages but mostly tailors on the teaching of English communication skills. The college also boasts of an assembly hall suitable for holding assemblies, seminars, cultural shows and other related activities enhancing the college social life.

The Pathankot College of Education is offering a total of two courses which are complete full time courses. The B.Ed and D.El.Ed programme have been approved for a intake capacity of 50 students respectively and thus, will offer 100 cumulatively for annual admission intake. Each of the two courses takes two years to offer adequate preparation to trainee teachers. While the B.Ed programme cost 1 lakh for the complete programme, the D.El.Ed programme costs 80 thousand rupees. These programmes are specially formulated to ensure that students that have set their mind to becoming teachers have the knowledge and skills required to do so successfully.

Pathankot College of Education does not conduct any kind of entrance examination for admission, instead admission depends on the marks scored in the qualifying exam.
