Patna Training College was established in the year 1908 in Patna, Bihar. This is one of the premier institutions undertaking teacher education. It is a co-educational college which has a fantastic past of over a hundred years of educational service. The institution is constituted and NAAC accredited. Besides, it has received recognition from NCTE. Spread over a campus of 7 acres, Patna Training College accommodates now a student enrolment of 188 with the aid of 11 faculty members. It conducts a course in B.Ed to enable the future requirement of skillful teachers.

The infrastructural facilities pertaining to education available in this college include:. Patna Training College library holds around 1000 volumes of books and subscribes to 26 journals on a wide range of themes related to teacher education and related fields. It also offers a reading room with a capacity of nearly 40 students. The IT infrastructure includes a computer lab with ten desktop computers, each provided with internet connectivity and an LCD projector. Well-equipped laboratories for Physical and Biological sciences, Mathematics and Psychology are there. Gym and sports facilities are available for physical fitness and are open to all students. There is a multipurpose hall with seating capacity of 150 which can be used as an auditorium for various college events. At the academic front, the Patna Training College is currently offering only one course: B.Ed programme. This two year full time course has a sanctioned intake of 100 students. This course aims at building the skills and knowledge base in emerging teachers to make them competent enough to service the sphere of education. While the college presently only offers a single degree, the specialised focus allows for in-depth training and personalised attention to each student, an extremely good guarantee of high-quality teacher education. 

Administration of the State Government, U. T. Administration and the university govern the admission procedure in Patna Training College. Based on merit, Admission is through marks secured in the qualifying and/or entrance examination. The college preserves any other selection processes, as prevalent policies apply.
