Namakkal based Pavai College of Technology or PCT was started in 2009 and it is affiliated college. Located on a large area of 12.09 acres, PCT proffers various approved engineering courses by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute is currently offering six undergraduate programs, with a total enrolment of 608 students, thus ensuring a programme specific enrolment. PCT provides a reputation of technical education and seven B.Tech courses in different multi-fields of engineering and newer fields such as Robotics and Automation as well as Safety and Fire Engineering.

The college has equipped itself with various facilities that are fashionable in countries with advanced education systems to support students’ learning. The library is the source of knowledge; containing more than 15670 volume of books, 3915 title, 853 CDs and numbers of) e-resources like IEEE, ASCE Journals, Springer links, etc. As part of practical’s PCT offers well equipped laboratories with necessary laboratory equipment, hardware and fast internet connection. The campus has also been provided with air conditioning new Auditorium called ‘Anandha Arangam’ with a seating capacity of 2000 which is suitable for operation fully air-conditioned for large meetings and seminars. Students prefer single sex hostels, particularly those housed in the school, since it provides students with an accommodation that will feel like home they are still with fellow students.

Pavai College of Technology comprises of total seven full time B.Tech programmes which take a period of four years each. These courses are available for every engineering discipline such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics & Automation, Biotechnology and Safety and Fire Engineering. The specialisation has an approved enrollment of 60 students per programme, and seats to offer in all courses amount to 420. It is due to this reason that students get to select specific area of concentrations that suit their careers within the dynamic technological world today.
