PDEA's Shankarrao Bhelke College was established in 1990 and is an affiliated educational institution of Maharashtra state government. It has located at Nasarapur, Pune, Maharashtra; the campus area of 3.24 acres of land, is also accredited by NAAC. Both undergraduate courses and some postgraduate courses are offered at this college. A total of students 626 students are enroled in the college as per roll strength. It has strength in 21 committed faculty members and the institute maintains a good student-teacher ratio. In programmes offered in the college, 6 courses consisting of multiple disciplines through which students tap the immense potential for intellectual growth and career prospects. 

PDEA's Shankarrao Bhelke College offers modern facilities in a variety of ways to improve the learning experiences of the students. The academic resources are built at the centre with a well-stocked library, housing 8,920 books, and 27 periodicals to complement the process of reading e-journals and e-books through the N-LIST database subscription. In addition, for all those with sports and physical fitness, the college offers spacious grounds for playing volleyball, kabaddi, football, kho-kho and cricket. The campus also provides wrestling mats and indoor games facilities with a gymnasium to keep the students fit. Shankarrao Bhelke College gives importance to technology in education through the well-equipped computer lab which caters to the digital needs of the learner. The Geography department has specialised laboratories that provide practical learning experience. The institute has two multipurpose seminar halls, which can be used to host guest lectures, workshops, and skill development programmes. This will also help assure interactive learning and professionalism. Shankarrao Bhelke College at PDEA is a multidisciplinary campus that is spacious. 

The institute provides 6 full-time courses, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Smt PDEA Institute offers courses in Arts, Commerce, Computer Science, and Management. It offers BA, B.Sc in Computer Science, B.Com, and BBA in Computer Applications courses at undergraduate levels. In addition, the postgraduate programmes include an MA in Economics and an M.Com, which cater to different kinds of interests and career aspirations.
