People’s College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre PCMS established in 2005 is one of the premier medico-nursing educational centres situated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Located in a 40-acre campus, The PCMS is an NMC approved constituent college. The institute is comprehensive medical training and it has 21 courses at 3 degree levels. Presently PCMS has 258 well-trained faculty members to deliver quality medical education to the students. It offers an integrated MBBS course along with numerous postgraduate disciplines and specialisations for the medical students all over the country.
PCMS has infrastructures that facilitate its academic programmes. The college is having well-equipped laboratories, a numerously stocked library and enriched IT tools for conducting research and studies. In this regard, because of students’ comfort, the PCMS has developed different hostels for male and female students. It also has a facility, which is a health centre to enable the students receive first aid when sick. In order to ensure the provision of holistic development the college provides social amenities such as a gym, sports equipment and a cultural hall for adolescents. The campus includes Wi-Fi connection that enables the students to remain connected with other students via the internet as well as to easily access the available resources from the internet.
Facing a wide array of medical courses offered in the institution, and it is amasing if PCMS targets different medical specialties in the health sector. The biggest programme of the college is the MBBS that admits 250 students every year, thus being one of the largest in the region for undergraduate programmes. Besides the MBBS, the college offers 20 courses in the postgraduate level encompassing MD and MS in specialities including MD Anaesthesiology, General Surgery, MS Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, amongst other. Each course at PCMS is a full-time curriculum and the aim of all the programmes is to deliver core concepts and professional experience. The number of students to be admitted to post graduate courses differs, while General Surgery is admitting 10 students, Anatomy and Biochemistry admit only 2 students each.

The admission system utilised at People’s College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre is mainly the national level test. For the MBBS programme the admissions are based on National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate commonly known as NEET UG. Any candidate seeking to join the university must meet the requirements of the NEET and attend the counselling process that follows. In case of post graduate programmes involving several MD and MS courses, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduates (NEET PG) is conducted. The college follows the admission calendar/ admission policy set in accordance with the respective examination boards. People's College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (PCMS), Bhopal, is a well-renowned medical institute famous for offering extensive medical education programs. PCMS's admission process is organized to identify the most meritorious students to join its range of undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses. PCMS depends on national-level medical entrance examinations mostly for admitting candidates to its programs.

For MBBS:

3. Go through the counselling process by the concerned authorities.
4. In case allocated a seat in PCMS, report to the institution for verification of documents and admission procedures.
For MD/MS Courses:
1. Apply and appear for NEET-PG.
2. Qualify NEET-PG by scoring the required marks.
3. Undergo centralized counselling process for PG medical courses.
4. On being chosen for PCMS, undergo the admission process at the institute.
Degree wise Admission Process
MBBS: PCMS has 250 seats for MBBS. The admissions are made purely on the basis of NEET-UG scores. Candidates need to clear NEET-UG and go through the following counselling process to get a seat.
MS General Surgery: There are 10 seats for this postgraduate course. Admissions are made through NEET-PG, and then counselling is done.
MD Anaesthesiology: The college has 8 seats for the same. Candidates need to qualify NEET-PG and undergo the counselling procedure for entry.
MD General Medicine: Like Anaesthesiology, the course has 8 seats and admissions on the basis of performance in NEET-PG.
MS Orthopaedics: PCMS has 7 seats for the same. Admissions are done by qualification in NEET-PG followed by counselling.
Other Postgraduate Courses: PCMS also provides other MD and MS courses, such as Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dermatology, Paediatrics, Community Medicine, Radiodiagnosis, and others. Seats differ for each course, from 2 to 6. Each of these courses has the NEET-PG based admission process.
