Phonics Group of Institute Roorkee established in 2008. PGI Roorkee is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Under the aegis of PGI Roorkee, 360-degree training, new-wave pedagogy, international exposure, and industry-academia interface have also been methodically interwoven, to provide comprehensive oversight to the respective industries. Undergraduate courses at PGI Roorkee include B.Tech, B.Sc, BBA, B.Com and B.Ed, whereas, postgraduate courses include M.Sc and MBA. Admission to PGI Roorkee B.Tech is based on the JEE Mains examination.

Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport to PGI Roorkee which is around 67 km away from the PGI Roorkee campus. If someone chooses a rail route to reach the PGI Roorkee then they have to board at Roorkee railway station which is only 14 km away from the college. Apart from that, there is Bus service from every state to reach PGI Roorkee by road.
