Pillai HOC Institute of Management Studies and Research, PHIMSR, Khalapur was established in the year 2009. This affiliated college is situated in Raigad, Maharashtra. The AICTE-approved institution has its campus spread over 14 acres and offers postgraduate management programmes with a total enrolment of 151 students and a faculty strength of 15, maintaining a decent student-faculty ratio. The institute offers two full-time postgraduate programmes: Master of Management Studies and Post Graduate Diploma in Management. 

Pillai HOC Institute of Management Studies and Research, provides several facilities that help in building up the students. The campus has separate Boys' Hostel and Girls' Hostel to ensure comfortable accommodation to the out-of-town students. A state-of-the-art library with over 5,000 titles is the knowledge hub for the pursuit of academics. The institute gives due importance to its physical well-being through the state-of-the-art gymnasium and multiple sports facilities. A campus-based medical centre with first-aid services deals with the medical requirements. PHIMSR further has a state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus for digital learning. Other facilities available in the hostel include a cafeteria, an auditorium for events and seminars, a guest room for visiting faculty and family members.

The institute has two full-time postgraduate programmes: MMS and PGDM, both two-year duration. These are intended to orient students toward meaningful management careers. 

Admission is quite competitive and taken out based on guidelines set by the competent authority. Only for the MMS programme, admissions are strictly based on the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET. However, the institute also accepts scores of other national-level entrance exams like CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, and ATMA. Hence, this adds to the flexibility through which a lot of diversified candidates can apply for admission. The institute accepts applications from candidates appeared for any of the aforementioned examination as per the competent authority.
