Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research, Panvel Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research (PIMSR), Panvel. It follows a competitive and merit-based admission process by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for all Master of Management Studies (MMS) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes. PIMSR's admission cycle is generally aligned with the academic year that starts in August-September. The institute accepts scores from a variety of national-level entrance exams, such as Common Admission Test (CAT), Maharashtra MBA Common Entrance Test (MAH MBA CET), and Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). These tests are usually held between November and March.

The eligibility criteria, in general, for the admission to MMS and MBA programs include a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The candidates who have appeared for any one of the accepted entrance examinations are compulsorily required to appear there.

Application Process

The application procedure for the management courses at PIMSR is as follows:

1. Entrance Exam: The student has to sit for at least one of the entrance exams that are accepted: CAT, MAH MBA CET, or CMAT. A student is suggested to check for the dates and register well in advance.

2. Admission in the course: The students can seek admission to PIMSR right after the declaration of the entrance exam result. Sometimes, they need to fill an online application form through the institute's website or through DTE's centralized process for MMS.

3. Submission of Documents: All the applicants need to submit the following documents:

• Score card of the entrance exam,
• Graduation degree certificate and mark sheets.
• Mark sheets of 10th and 12th standard
• Identity proof
•  Passport size photographs

4. Short listing: Based on entrance exam score and other selection criteria, PIMSR shortlists the candidates for further phases of selection process.

5. Group Discussion and Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates would be called at PIMSR for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

6. Final List: The final admission decision is taken after observing the total performance of the candidate in the entrance exam, group discussion, and personal interview.

7. Admission Confirmation: The admitted candidates have to confirm their admission after paying the required fees and submitting original documents within the stipulated date.

Degree-wise Admission Process

MBA: PIMSR offers a two-year full-time MBA program. Though specific intake details are not provided, the admission process for MBA is more or less similar to that of MMS. Candidates have to appear for national-level entrance exams like CAT, MAH MBA CET, or CMAT. The selection is done based on the entrance exam score followed by a group discussion and personal interview.

MMS: The MMS program in PIMSR is approved to have an intake of 180. Admission into this course takes place through Common Entrance Test CET and the central admission process under DTE. A student, before getting an admission into this course, will have to face CET followed by Group Discussion and personal interview. Based on the overall score of all the above components, admissions are offered into the course.
