Pingle Government Degree College for Women, Warangal, was set up in the year of 1965, is an Autonomous college located at Hanamkonda, Telangana. The college is located in a 4 acre land and has been awarded accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The current enrolment is 2011 students and 34 faculty members, the institute offers 31 courses in seven degrees programmes. The college provides a rich variety of specialisations in science, arts and commerce streams for girls only. The population of students totals 70% undergraduates and 30% postgraduates; 99% of them are local residents.

Pingle Government Degree College for Women offers several of services that are a key factor to the accomplishment of the college goals and objectives. With sufficient numbers of reference materials, textbooks, periodicals, a modern library also functions as an information centre . A campus always contains some well-furnished laboratories for different departments that facilitate learning by practical lessons. Gym and Sporting facilities enhance physical activities, whereas an infirmary is available for emergencies with an ambulance on requesting service. I also found that this college has an auditorium, a canteen which provides cheap meals and Wi-Fi campus in the college. For students, who come from other towns, a girls’ hostel is an option of comfortable accommodation.

Pingle Government Degree College for Women provide mainstream programmes comprising 24 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate courses- BBA , B.Sc , B.Com Computer Applications and M.Com etc . The institute has 29 full time courses of general and specialised study in different fields with a total NFQ level 7 and 8 student capacity of 2, 011. In the last academic year, 1,811 of the college students completed their programme and graduated. The elective courses offered are as follows, these make the general course to be offering to cover every area of specialty.

For the purpose of admission, Pingle Government Degree College for Women has established procedures that are as follows; The admission process insists on merit of the candidates under all circumstances. It is however not clear when the actual exams will be held although the college has advertised the following intakes for the different under and post graduate courses. The institute provides an opportunity of scholarships to support deserving students, 1225 of the undergraduate, and 481 postgraduate students benefited from reimbursement in the 2022 academic year. This support to financing further aims to prove that the college indeed aims to make education affordable for everyone. Over the years it has produced many successful generations of women for which the college has been recognised as one of the most reputable woman’s educational institution in the region.
