Pioneer Kumaraswamy College, Nagercoil, is the first college of its kind located in Tamil Nadu, India and was founded in 1967. This affiliated college, NAAC accredited, offers a comprehensive academic programme spread over various fields of studies. Spread over an area of 2.69 acres, the college has total student enrolment of 1,060 and teachers’ strength of 67. Pioneer Kumaraswamy College has various programmes offering 22 courses in eight degrees programmes with specialisations in Arts, Science, and Commerce for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The institution of quality education is proved by the great achievement on the diversified students’ body; the gender distribution is also fairly equal with 322 male students and 738 female students.
