It is established as a teacher-specific training institution. The college features two primary programs-Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed)-for the purpose of preparing aspiring teachers for effective professional careers in education. The admissions process is patterned with respect to the merit criteria adopted by the State Government of Andhra Pradesh in consultation with the affiliated university and thus selects qualified candidates. Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) : The B.Ed program at PNCA B.Ed College has a recognized intake of 100 seats. The admission for the programme is purely merit-based with reference to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or performance in the state-level entrance test. The admission process is in line with the policy set by the State Government of Andhra Pradesh and the university to which the college is affiliated. Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification are free to apply for this two-year full-time program.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): D.El.Ed offers 50 seats and admits entrants aspiring for becoming elementary school teachers. Admissions in this program are also merit-based but consider primarily the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (generally 10+2). The admission process also observes the guidelines made by the state government and other relevant educational authorities. This too is a two-year full-time program dedicated to preparing teachers for the elementary education sector.
