PNS College, Bilaspur, is a co-educational institution situated in Rajendra Nagar, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. The college has various streams offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The admission process of the college is very simple and friendly for eligible students.  The college follows a merit-based admission system considering the academic performance of candidates mainly in their qualifying examinations. This is to ensure the deserving candidates get the chance to pursue their courses of choice at the PNS College. 

This college generally initiates the admission process for the session after the declaration of board examination results. For undergraduate courses, students, who have passed their 10+2 education from recognized boards, are eligible to apply. For admission purposes, the college considers the score obtained in the qualifying examination (12th standard). For postgraduate programmes such as MA History and PGDCA, the candidate is expected to be a graduate in the relevant or related field from an accredited university.

1. Admission Announcement: The college announces the initiation of the admission process through varied media such as its official website, local newspapers, and notice board.

2. Application Form: Interested candidates may obtain the application form from the college office or download it from the official website.

3. Filling the Application: It is detailed that candidates require the completion of the application form accurately and in full. Personal information, academic qualifications, and selection for the desired course shall be input by the candidate.

4. Document Submission: The following documents are required to accompany the filled application form:

• Marksheets of qualifying examinations (10th and 12th for UG courses and Bachelor's degree for PG courses).
• Transfer Certificate from the institute last attended.
• Character Certificate.
• Caste Certificate (if applicable).
• Recent passport-size photographs.

5. Application Submission: Dully filled and signed hard copies of the application, along with all documents well before the due date, should be submitted at the College admission office.

6. Merit List Preparation: The preparation of the merit list will be based solely on the evaluation of candidates' performance in qualifying examinations of their respective courses.

7. Merit List Publication: The merit list will be displayed on the notice board and the official website of the college. Selected candidates will be notified via email or telephone.

8. Document Verification: The candidates whose names appear on the merit list must report to the college for document verification. They must bring all essential original documents for verification.

9. Fee Payment: Selected candidates must pay the admission fee within the given time frame after the verification of documents to reserve a seat.

10. Admission Confirmation: Once the fee is paid, the admission process is complete, and the student can begin his/her studies in the selected course.

Degree wise Admission Process

BA (Bachelor of Arts): BA is available in PNS College with a total fee of Rs 17,100. Admission to the program is based on the merit of candidates in their 10+2 results. Those applicants who have undergone higher secondary education based on subjects relevant to arts and humanities can apply. 

B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): For students interested in a career in commerce and business, the college provides a B.Com program. Admittances are granted based on marks for the academic performance of the 10+2 examination, giving preference to those who studied commerce subjects.

B.Sc Computer Science: This program is aimed at the computer science-loving student; total fees for the program amount to Rs 27,000. Eligibility criteria seek candidates who have passed 10+2 with mathematics and computer science or related subjects. Admission will be based on merit in the qualifying examination.

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): The program at PNS College is a BCA course with a fee structure of Rs 45,000. Candidates need to have cleared their 10+2 with mathematics as a subject to apply. Selection is made according to their qualifying examination.

B.Sc (Bachelor of Science): PNS College offers a general B.Sc program. Admission is intended for students who complete the 10+2 in the science stream. The selection basis will be through marks secured in the qualifying examination, with an emphasis on science subjects.

PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications): A postgraduate diploma with a total fee of Rs 15,000, the program invites applications from graduates of any stream. Selection is on the merit of the qualifying examination.

MA History: The college offers a MA in History with a total fee of Rs 16,000. Candidates appear eligible if they possess a bachelor's degree preferably in History or related subject. Admission is granted on merit in qualifying examination.
