Poddar Shikshan Sansthan, Alwar an affiliated college started in the year 2007 and is located in Laxmangarh, Alwar District in Rajasthan. This school for both boys and girls is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education meaning it offers quality teacher education. The istitute has provided three specialised course in education whose total student intake stands at 397 only. Located in the village of Lili and close to the Lili Bus Stand, the college creates a favourable atmosphere for preliminary education. 

Poddar Shikshan Sansthan has been established with various learning amenities with an aim of improving the learning ability of the students. With proper facilities, library is essential part of each academic institute as it contains all the resources required for personal growth. The campus has laboratories to support the practical learning necessary to train teachers. Sports facilities for programme participation. For extra co-curricular activities, the college has sports facilities, can develop sportsmanship and healthy lifestyle of the students. There is an auditorium on campus for events and seminars in order to maintain culture of learning and innovation throughout the campus environment. It also focuses on providing care to students through a health centre for the services of first aid facilities. In relation to technological development, the college has intact and excellent information technology. These facilities include a cafeteria, and guest rooms, making facilities comfortable for the students and the visiting faculty, thus promoting the overall education.

There are only three full time courses that are offered by Poddar Shikshan Sansthan and all of these are B.Ed., M.Ed. and B.Sc.B.Ed., all providing teacher training. These are a two years B.Ed programme and two inter connected four years programmes of BA/ B.Ed and B.Sc /B.Ed. The B.Ed programme which is the flagship programme of the institute has an approved intake capacity of one hundred. The courses offer students good chance to complete a bachelor’s degree in Arts or Science as well as a teaching credential at the same time. This approach of the teacher education ensures that students are trained to handle different aspects of the teaching profession because they are handling both the contents that they’re teaching as well as the learners.

The admission to various courses in Poddar Shikshan Sansthan is done based on the merit in the qualifying or entrance test. The admission policy of the institute is regulated by the state government of Rajasthan as well as affiliated university. In case of the B.Ed programme, the candidates who have passed their graduation or those who are in their final year of graduation can apply. The integrated BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed programmes recruit the candidates who have completed their 10+2 examination in the relevant subjects.
