About Ponjesly College of Engineering, Nagercoil
Ponjesly College of Engineering, Nagercoil, started in the year 2004, is a self financing and the institution is under the affiliation of Anna University of Technology, Chennai. Approaved by AICTE, this college is situated in Tamil Nadu and provides a wide spectrum of engineering and management courses. Extended over an area of 20.33 acres, the college has a total student enrolment of 1,875 and a total faculty strength of 133 teachers. Ponjesly College of Engineering offers three degree programmes, consisting of 15 courses, and offering the major specialisations in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology. Our college enrols 66% male and 34% female students hence will be solving the problems based on balanced gender distribution. The largest proportion of the students is 89% enroled for undergraduate courses and degrees, while 11% are students in postgraduate courses.
Ponjesly College of Engineering Nagercoil provides numerous admits ranging from student services to the academic viability of students. It is well and equipped hostels for boys and girls in the campus to encourage a secure accommodation. Students have swimming pools, playground, modern gyms, variety of cafeterias, and a well stocked library. The college has got very well-equipped standard sports facilities which include the indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Academic and administrative services include photocopying and printing services at a low cost offered by the reprographic centre. The transport service to schools operates a fleet of 22 buses to improve the transport service obliging for commuting. The health facility meets the medical requirements of the members. The college also facilities two large and well-ventilated, air-conditioned auditorium with total seating capacity of 400 for cultural shows and organised departmental functions.
The college provides 15 courses in various disciplines. Among these there is 11 undergraduate programmes, 5 postgraduate and 1 PhD programme. Most of the courses offered are full time and regular programmes. Total student intake for all courses is 1875. The courses are MBA, BE in Computer Science & Engineering , Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, and so on.

The college was much better compared to the other colleges around the district .It has a good infrastructure and a wonderful atmosphere all around the college . The college provide much support to the students by giving proper equipment s like well organized classrooms ,libraries , hostel and sports centers , but they lack in providing WiFi .They maintains all their facilities very well with clean environment
