PIMSE Pune Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship (PIMSE), Pune.  PIMSE, being an AICTE-approved institute, has been producing management professionals for more than three decades. The admission process at the institute is tailored to choose the best talent from diverse backgrounds to create a rich learning environment.

Normally, the PIMSE admission cycle starts in the months right before the advent of the academic year. The institute accepts applications through different national-level entrance exams. This means students from any background can apply for admission. These are MAH MBA CET, CMAT, GMAT, MAT, ATMA, and XAT.

To be eligible, a candidate must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Percentage requirements may be relaxed but most management programs expect a minimum of 50-55% marks in the qualifying examination. Application Process

Steps in the application process for PIMSE's MBA programs are as follows: 

1. Entrance Exam: The applicants must appear for any of the entrance exams accepted, which include MAH MBA CET, CMAT, GMAT, MAT, ATMA, and XAT. Each exam has its procedure and dates.

2. Application Form: After you get your entrance exam score, log on to the official website of PIMSE and fill in the application form. Fill all the details correctly.

3. Document Submission: Prepare and submit following documents:

• Entrance exam score card
• Bachelor's degree certificate and mark sheets
• 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
• Valid ID proof
• Recent passport-size photographs
• Any other certificate as specified by the institute

4. Application Fee: Pay all the required application fee according to the indication made on the website of PIMSE.

5. Admission Test/Interview: The shortlisted students are summoned by the institute so that they personally appear and write the test or appear in an interview at the institute.

6. Merit List: Merit list issued based on entrance test scores, academic merit, and the interview scheduled.

7. Seat Allotment: As per this procedure, seats will be provided after properly giving preference according to the prepared merit list with the candidates.

8. Fee Paying: Within the stipulated time frame the selected candidates should pay their respective course fee. After doing the same their confirmation of admission shall be done in the institute only.

9. Document Verification: Report the institute for verifying the original document physically.

Degree-wise Admission Process

MBA: PIMSE conducts a general MBA program with 120 seats in the intake. Admission is taken based on entrance exam scores through any of the accepted entrance exams, which includes MAH MBA CET, CMAT, GMAT, MAT, ATMA, or XAT. The candidate needs to have passed a bachelor's degree in any discipline. Total fee for the program is Rs 1,84,000.

MBA Information Technology: This specialized MBA program has 60 seats. The admission process is like the general MBA, taking entrance exam scores from the same set of entrance exams. Candidates who have a background in IT or its related fields are given some advantage, but it is not essential.

MBA Human Resource Development: A specialized MBA programme with 60 seats. Admission criteria are in line with the other MBA programs at PIMSE, using scores from entrance exams accepted for admission. Total fee for the program is Rs 1,36,000.
