As per the rules and regulations of The Tamilnadu Dr M.G.R Medical University, Chennai/ Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai, Government of Tamilnadu, Chennai.

A candidate shall have passed HSC examination with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany & Zoology or Mathematics subjects.40% aggregate marks in the above subjects is mandatory. 35% aggregate marks for SC & ST Candidates. Candidate should have completed 17 years of age on the date of admission or should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
