About PR College of Nursing, Bangalore

PR College of Nursing Bangalore commenced in the year 2005, is an affiliated college in Karnataka State of India. It is a Nursing education institution in India which is approved by Indian nursing council INC. Located on a limited piece of land measuring only 8 acres, PR College of Nursing currently has two full-time nursing courses where 320 fresh learners are admitted each year. The college is co-educational, but the students here are all female to advance the cause of education for women in health care. The faculty of the institute comprises of fourteen members and thus; student and teacher ratio is perfect to provide individual attention in learning the course of nursing.

There exists a number of amenities in the college with the intention of facilitating convenience for the students. Girls hostel well equipped within the college premise facilitates the students with safe and comfortable stay with facilities like round the clock security, UPS facility, internet connections etc. The college library has a sitting capacity of three hundred, it has three thousand books, journals, and periodicals that are national and international. 

To enhance the learners’ practical experience, the college has equipped and developed various state of the art laboratories namely; Anatomy Lab, Fundamental ness & Medical Surgical Nursing Lab, Nutrition Lab, Microbiology Lab, Maternity & Child Health Lab, and Community Health Nursin Lab. These labs contain latest equipment, simulator and models through which students get practical knowledge regarding different fields.

PR College of Nursing offers two comprehensive nursing programs: There are two B.Sc Nursing courses, which are the four-year course and the two-year Post Basic B.Sc Nursing course. Both of the programs offer a full-time study and are aimed at ensuring that the students endure, and can withstand the challenges of the nursing field. The B.Sc Nursing has a admission capacity of sixty students and the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing course has an admission capacity of forty students. These programs has the objectives of graduating professional nurses with technical, efficient and humane qualities as well as having adequate understanding of theories and guided practice.

Hello,

Bsc in operation theatre course is mainly a UG degree course. The main role of this course is to take care of all the work and management of the operation theatre which comprise looking after all the surgical instruments, their sterilisation, preparation of dressing table, operation theatre table, instrument table. This course also study about the take care of anaesthesia table. This is 3 year's duration course.
