Pratap Institute of Technology and Science (PITS), the college was founded in 2011, is also a private affiliated college in Sheeshyoo, Rajasthan state. Having a campus sprawled over 11.17 acre, PITS has various engineering courses at undergraduate as well as diploma levels. First of all the institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the institute is running under the Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. PITS has an overall student intake of 234 and to cater to their needs there are 74 faculties that the institute boasts of thus enhancing technical education. The institute teaches 9 courses in 2 programmes and focuses on different branches of engineering.

Apart from that, the institute provides a combination of engineering programmes which are accredited full-time B.Tech programmes and diploma courses. The B.Tech programmes will take 4 years while the diploma courses will be of 3 years’ duration. PITS Sikar’s course offerings include B.Tech programme in: ♦ Civil Engineering ♦ Electrical Engineering ♦ Mechanical Engineering ♦ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering ♦ Computer Science & Engineering. In addition, local diploma programmes also offered by the institute include Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The total approved intake for B.Tech programmes are 270 and diploma course intake of 90 each for both the streams.

The PITS Sikar offered admission process is mostly merit base. B.Tech programmes require the candidate to write the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. With regard to admission to its undergraduate engineering programmes, the institute deems important the JEE Main scores. Admissions in diploma courses are open to candidates based on the eligibility and reserved category fixed by the Board of Technical Education Rajasthan (BTER), Jodhpur.
