Prime College of Pharmacy, Palakkad of the year 2014 is one among the leading colleges offering the course in the field of pharmacy in Kerala, India. This affiliated college is near Government Polytechnic Erattayal and it is PCI approved in order to provide quality education in the field. Operating on a 2.77-acre campus, the college provides pharmacy programmes offering the Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, as well as the Master’s Degree. Combining the student enrolment capacity of 237 and the faculty of 42 members, Prime College of Pharmacy offers the students an appropriate concentration. Currently, the institute provides 7 courses of study with sub-disciplinary focuses for pharmacists.

A library of over 500 sq. matters stocked with books and journals equipped with e-journals and online databases enable students with proper learning facilities. The girls’ hostel has spacious rooms divided into single bedded and double bedded, well furnished, a spacious dining hall. Sports taken seriously by the college include basketball, volley ball, table tennis, soccer, tennis and other games, there is the college auditorium with a sitting capacity of over 500 students for academic and culturally related occasions.

Prime College of Pharmacy enrols numerous programmes to provide a variety of professional opportunities in pharmacy field. Institute offers 7 full time courses as B. Pharma, D. Pharma, M. Pharma with specialisation in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharm. D programme. B. Pharma is the flagship programme of the college that offers 100 admissions for its students. There are 60 seats available for the D.Pharma course Intake and 9 to 15 seats for M.Pharma specialisations. ACCU School of Pharmacy provides education in the Pharm.D programme which is a six-year course, every year taking 30 students. This diverse offering of academic programmes guarantees students a number of avenues whereby they can explored their career paths within the field of pharmacy.

To apply at the Prime College of Pharmacy, students have to go through admission policies that are rather clear and founded on merit criteria. Interestingly, no particular entrance examination is identified; however, the college may require previous performance in related courses for various courses offered in the college. The B.Pharma and D.Pharma plans require a good background, in science subjects mainly at higher secondary level. For M.Pharma admissions the person must hold B.Pharma degree for them to be considered.
