Established in 2008, Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi College of Engineering is among the time-honored educational institutions in Nagpur, Maharashtra. This affiliated College offers a wide range of engineering programmes and covers an area of 10.073 acres. PIGCE Nagpur is accredited by NAAC, and it brings out the institution committed to quality in education. The institute admits, in total enrolment 859 students in its various programmes, thereby offering a more focused environment to its students. The PIGCE offers five full time BE programmes tuned to meet the active needs of industry and technology sectors.

The college possesses all modern facilities to support its academic activities. A fully computerized, well-supied library with more than 26,000 books, journals, periodicals, and magazines of various subjects forms the correct support for learning at the institute and functions as the centre of knowledge for both the students and faculty members. The institution has separate boys' and girls' hostels on campus with all amenities included that are essential for assuring comfortable stay for outsiders. PIGCE believes in the all-around development of the student, reflected through the sports facilities wherein they actively participate in inter-collegiate competitions. Laboratories for each department are advanced to provide hands-on learning. There is a cafeteria catering to the varied tastes in food and an auditorium that plays host to various events and seminars. The health of the student in the college is taken care of through a medical centre that houses first-aid facilities and a gym for physical fitness.

PIGCE Nagpri runs a total of five full-time BE courses. These are BE in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and the newly introduced programme in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. In correspondence, all these programmes have been designed as four-year full-time courses, considering the comprehensive technical education pursued by the institute. While the number of seats that each programme shall offer has not been specified, the total intake of students in all courses stands at 859, reflecting a balance in the distribution of students across various specialisations.

PIGCE Nagpur wants an open admission policy which shall be merit-based. The college accepts scores from two major entrance examinations, such as the Joint Entrance Examination and the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test.
