About PDIT Hospet

Proudadevaraya Institute of Technology, Hospet is an old institution that was established in 1977. This college has played an important role in shaping the future of the students by providing the best education possible. This college is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka, and recognized by AICTE, New Delhi. The college offers multiple engineering and MBA courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Each course has its own fee structure and different PDIT eligibility criteria. Admission to PDIT college is mainly by KCET, COMEDK, or by management.

The college has its own training and placement cell that works to provide the best technical and soft skills. The PDIT placement cell also organises guest lectures, industrial visits, and personality development programmes. ‘Vidyachetana’ is the central library of the institution and has more than 50,000+ volumes of books, 75+ subscribed national and international journals and whatnot. Not only engineering and management, but PDIT Hospet also offer basic science course in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. PDIT has also been awarded with Golden Aim Award for ‘Best Engineering College 2020’.

PDIT College has a beautiful campus stretched out on 20 acres of land and is close to the Tungabhadra Dam. This place is also near to the famous world heritage Hampi. JSW Vijayanagar bus terminal is the closest bus stand to the college at a distance of less than 3.5 KM. Hospet junction is the nearest railway junction at a distance of 4.8 KM to reach the PDIT college. Jindal Vidyanagar Airport at Toranganallu is the nearest airport to the college, about 36 km from the PDIT location.

PDIT Hospet Scholarship

The financial assistance to the deserving candidates is also provided by the Proudadevaraya Institute of Technology, Hospet. Scholarship is provided to the students in order to help them, students from economically weaker sections, SC/ST, and minority communities can benefit from the scholarship provided by the institution. Candidates who are extraordinary in academics and candidates from Ex-servicemen backgrounds will also be provided financial support.

PDIT Hospet Scholarships Eligibility Criteria (Provided by the Ministry)

PRAGATI SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR GIRL STUDENTS ( TECHNICAL DEGREE)	Ministry of Education	The girl should be in her first year of college or in her second year if she enrolled via lateral entry. A maximum of two girl children per family are eligible. A certificate issued by the State/UT government is required specifying that the income of the family is not more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum.
SAKSHAM SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR SPECIALLY ABLED STUDENT ( TECHNICAL DEGREE)	Ministry of Education	The candidate should be in his first year of college or in her second year if he enrolled via a lateral entry in any AICTE-recognized university. Specially-abled students, having a disability of not less than 40%. Family income should not exceed the amount of Rs. 8 lakh per annum.
AICTE – SWANATH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME ( TECHNICAL DEGREE)	Ministry of Education	The candidates should be either orphans or Either or both parents who died due to Covid 19 or Wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action. Family income should not exceed the amount of Rs. 8 lakh per annum. The candidate should be currently studying in the AICTE-approved institutions at degree level in regular mode (in 1st /2nd / 3rd /4th year). The candidate should NOT be a recipient of any of the Central Govt. / State Govt. / AICTE Sponsored scholarships.

Top-class institutions and a number of scholarship slots

Top IITs, NITs, state universities, and private institutions provide the above first three scholarships every year. However, the last 2 scholarship schemes are provided by the PDIT Hospet. Approx. 7000 scholarships are provided every year by AICTE under the first three schemes in the table. The point to note is the seats for AICTE scholarship schemes are distributed in every AICTE-approved college/university.

PDIT Hospet Admission

Proudadevaraya Institute of Technology, Hospet offers 5 undergraduate-level engineering courses, 3 basic science undergraduate courses, and 2 postgraduate courses. Entry to these courses is possible only after passing the entrance examination like KCET or COMED-K. Some seats are for management quota as well. Admission to these courses is based on the cut-offs released by the institute. It is obvious that cut-offs will not be the same for all courses, as computer engineering can have a high cutoff as compared to other branches because of its high demand in the market.

Candidates who have passed the entrance exam will be allocated seats on the base of their preference and cut-off.
Then they need to approach the college admission section.
After that, they need to fill out the application form.
All the necessary documents should be submitted by the candidates.
After paying the admission fee candidates can finally enrol in the course.

PDIT UG Admissions 2024

Proudadevaraya Institute of Technology, Hospet offers BE/B.Tech and BSc life science as part of their undergraduate courses. The duration of these courses is 4 and 3 years respectively.

PDIT UG Eligibility Criteria

B.E./B.Tech.	390	Candidate should have passed class 10+2 with physics, chemistry & mathematics with more than 45% from a recognised board+ COMED-K examination.
B.Sc	-	Should have a minimum of 45% marks (5% relaxation for reserved categories) in class 10+2 with mathematics from a recognised board+ CET UG examination

PDIT B.Tech/BSc Admission Procedure

Candidates should clear the COMED-K cutoff(for B.Tech) and CET cutoff(for BSc).
They will be provided with a seat based on the marks scored in the entrance examination.
Selected candidates should submit the required documents at college.
By paying the course fees, candidates can finalise their admission.

PDIT PG Admissions 2024

Proudadevaraya Institute of Technology, Hospet offers an MBA and M.Tech in Digital Communication and Networking as part of their postgraduate courses. Both the courses are of 2 years duration.

PDIT PG Eligibility Criteria

MBA	60	Candidates should have completed their degree in any discipline from a recognized university. They need to have a minimum of 50% in degree. They need to clear Karnataka-PGCET for enrolment.
M.Tech	9	Candidates should have completed a B.Tech in EE/ECE/Instrumentation Technology / Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized university. They need to have a minimum of 50% in degree. They need to clear Karnataka-PGCET for enrolment.

Note: In the case of SC/ST/OBC and other reservations cutoff will be 5% less than that of the general category.

PDIT MBA/M. Tech Admission Procedure

Candidates need to clear the Karnataka-PGCET entrance exam.
After clearing the entrance exam, seats will be allocated based on the marks scored and cutoff.
A list of selected candidates with respective courses will be released by the college.
Candidates need to provide documents at the college for validation.
By paying course fees, candidates can finalise their admission.
