PSV College of Education, started in 2005, is a leading teacher education college situated in Krishnagiri in the state of Tamil Nadu. This college is located in Vellore on the Chennai & Bangalore National Highway to develop future educators. This is an institute that is university affiliated and is also approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). PSV College of Education is situated on a small one acre land and this makes it to offer concentrated education to its students. As of now, the college has strength of 83 students and 13 faculties that make the ration between students and faculties good enough reasonable so that it can actually help the students to learn and guide them properly.

There is a list of learning amenities at PSV College of Education that help the students in their learning as well as personal growth. A spacious library accommodating a sound collection of 5,834 books and 1 international journal and 8 national journals is perhaps the most important academic edifice in the campus. The library also avails prints where it has 47 CDs within different disciplines and has internet connection for research and learning. To maintain health and recreation, the college has a playfield which includes space for various games and a gymnasium to go with it. The campus has internet enabled machine and a student computer ratio of 2:1 Nayagaon modern Information Technology equipments like computer network and multimedia equipments like OHPs, LCDs, and projector are available for technology integrated learning. Other facilities include a hall for conferences and other presentations, separated hostels for male and female students, a cafeteria, and transport systems for students and employees who use public transport and other learning institutions.

PSV College of Education offers one primary course, the Bachelors of Education (B.ED) programme. It is a full time two years course especially taught to equip the students with knowledge and skills required for them to practice teaching and education. The B.Ed programme is approved for an intake capacity of 100 students and offers a good number of seats to the students interested in teaching profession. Even though the college has only this core teacher training programme, it shows its concern in the provision of a broad education in the area of teaching.

The college follows the principle of merit and follows directions of the state government, Union Territory administration as well as with the directions of the affiliated university. All student candidates have to be assessed in terms of their performance in qualifying exams and or entrance tests. The college may also include other processes of selection following existing usual procedures.
