If you want to understand the process of counseling for getting admission in NITs after appearing for JEE Mains examination, it's fairly simple. You just need to apply for the counseling process keeping your choices in the order of your liking. Once you freeze the choice, you shall be assigned the department. 

Hi dude… first of all let me congratulate for your 84 percentile jee b.arch paper. And u have very least choice for getting NIT with the percntile u have secured.

I got 97.5 percentile in the same paper and secured a rank of 6.5k in general category and i have a least chance to get NIT because the total number of seats for b.arch in NIT’s are 559 and in CFTI’s or SFTI’s are 331. So we are no where could satisfy NIT’s with our rank or percentile we secured for the Admission.

You will not get any NIT with this percentile. Last year cutoff rank goes for NIT from 1000-3000.As per your rank and previous year cutoff, the colleges you get in b.arch are:-
