Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Girls B Ed College, Baran: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The establishment of PT Deendayal Upadhyay Girls B.Ed. College in Baran district of Rajasthan in the year 2006 has been designed to provide education only to girls. Situated on Nalka Tiraha, Melkheri Road, this affiliated college spread over a small area of 0.97 acres of land. The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and provides two education specialisation. Having a total of 199 students and faculty members of 16, the college maintains a closely knit learning community. Through concentration on the training programmes for teachers only for women, it highlight the institution’s strong belief on offering quality education to the society and thus, training teachers who will in turn produce knowledgeable citizens.

PT Deendayal Upadhyay Girls B.Ed. College offers two full-time courses, Bachelors in Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.E.Ed.) both are two years programmes. These programmes are intended to give learners the right knowledge and practical experience to be effective teachers and educational managers. The college’s total student intake capacity is set at 199, this is because the college management feels the need to maintain the best population size in every class to improve on the quality of teaching. 

PT Deendayal Upadhyay Girls B.Ed. College follows a strict admission process and gives admission to the students based on their merit. Admission criteria for B.Ed. programme also depend upon the candidate’s marks in the qualification examination/entrance examination based on the government norms and university norms. The admission process of the D.El.Ed. programme is done under the guidance of the State’s Department of Higher Education. The institution’s focus on women education in Rajasthan can be said to be part of the efforts being made by the institution to empower women education in the region in general and in the outlined areas in particular, thus positively contributing to the educational system of the region.
