Pujya Bhaurao Devras PG College, Kanpur, came into existence in the year 2003 as an affiliated college in the heart of Uttar Pradesh. This co-educational unit, located in the village of Muktapur, is almost close to a couple of decades in the making. Nested in 8.28 acres of land, the institute has almost 1,550 students enrolled for various courses. Head Count of 26 devoted faculty assures a favorable Teacher-Student ratio that would ensure personal care and quality education. This college, which is affiliated with NCTE, conducts 7 courses in 6 degree programs in various disciplines of Arts, Science, Commerce and Education.

At the undergraduate level, it offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, and B.Ed. MA in the college is offered in two disciplines- Sociology and Hindi for students who wish to have an advanced study in these areas. The last one is the D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) course for aspiring teachers. This college has a total intake of 1,550 students in all its courses combined, out of which 50 are for the D.El.Ed. course alone. 

The admission process at Pujya Bhaurao Devras PG College varies depending on the course. In most of the programs, admission will be merit-based secured in the qualifying examination. However, for admission to the specialized course, B.Ed and D.El.Ed, there is an entrance test or any other selection process adopted by the State Government/UT Administration or University. The B.Ed course, as I said above is strictly based on merit. It can be directly admitted into based on scores obtained in the qualifying examination and entrance test.
